SFC Liaison The SFC will appoint a Committee member as liaison to the CSC.The SFC Liaison duties shall entail but not be limited to:
Serve as the primary liaison between the SFC and the CSC and schedule working group meetings when deemed necessary by either the SFC or the CSC.
Attend CSC meetings at the request of the SFC or CSC.
Advise the CSC on current SFC policy.
Budget Appeal Process Any club sports in contention with their allocations can appeal to the SFC in line with the following guidelines:
1. The initial appeal will take place during a regularly scheduled ad hoc session of the SFC.
The SFC Liaison and the Treasurer of the appealing organization must also be present, in addition to any other appropriate representatives.
For the purposes of this process, an affiliation is defined as follows:
2. The appealing organization will be granted a period in which to argue that their budget allocation was made in an unfair and arbitrary manner.
The SFC facilitator shall give the appealing organization a two-minute warning prior to the end of the ten-minute period.
3. The club sport will then be granted a period in which to explain and defend the methodology and rationale behind its allocation to the appealing organization. 4. The SFC will then have a period to ask questions of the appealing organization. 5. The appeal shall be deemed legitimate and shall move forward if and only if of the SFC members who are not required to recuse themselves vote in the affirmative.
For the purposes of this vote, quorum is a super majority of those voting.
6. Appeal Allocation Process
If the SFC determines that an appeal is legitimate, it will review the budget of the appealing organization and allocate funds.

WHAT IS THE STUDENT FINANCE COMMITTEE?
The SFC, 7 senate-appointed student representatives, works for the student body in allocating the Student Activity Fund to all Oberlin student organizations and individual student projects. SFC members meet multiple times a week to review budgets, vote on allocations, and vote and discuss policy, lead working groups with student organizations, and hold office hours to serve as a counselor for students seeking guidance about funding and student government.
