In addition to the policies outlined via ObieSafe protocols (found here), Student Union has implemented the following policies regarding organization events:
Until October 18 all performances must be outside - it is strongly recommended to book spaces early (bandstand or tent in Wilder if you want coverage)
All performers must remain masked while performing indoors and outdoors until further notice
It is preferred that all performances for the semester be outdoors (it is suggested that you book both an indoor and outdoor space)
No student organization traveling artists will be allowed to perform in any Conservatory space
All contracts MUST be done early through Tina Zwegat or Sean Lehlbach (if he is your advisor) in the Office of Student Involvement
Oberlin College reserves the right to cancel any performance if there are pandemic issues and artists will not be paid if they do not perform
Currently, there should be no programs involving food indoors
All food is required to be grab and go
*Please be aware that due to administrative reviews certain policies may no longer be accurate
WHAT IS THE STUDENT FINANCE COMMITTEE?
The SFC, 7 senate-appointed student representatives, works for the student body in allocating the Student Activity Fund to all Oberlin student organizations and individual student projects. SFC members meet multiple times a week to review budgets, vote on allocations, and vote and discuss policy, lead working groups with student organizations, and hold office hours to serve as a counselor for students seeking guidance about funding and student government.
