What is a Reallocation? A reallocation describes the process by which funds approved for one request made by a student organization may be allocated to a different request without requesting additional funds. A student organization may submit a reallocation during the same submission window ad hocs are accepted each semester. The SFC strongly encourages organizations to reallocate their approved funds to new endeavors before requesting additional financial support.
Similar to budget and ad hoc requests, reallocations must be submitted with a detailed description of the proposed event, activity, or purchase(s) for which a reallocation is being requested, along with an itemized budget stipulating which funds are being reallocated from one item to another. For more information about how to craft this version of a budget, click here. Reallocations are voted on asynchronously by SFC members throughout the week and the results are discussed once a week at a meeting time separate from our ad hoc sessions. The SFC strongly encourages reallocations to be submitted no later than one month prior to when the funds are necessary for the anticipated event, activity, or purchase to provide adequate processing time of the request.
